5th Annual Tucson Chicks n Chaps™ Women's Rodeo Clinic

Event Details

The Tucson Chapter of Chicks n Chaps™ will host its 5th Annual Women's Rodeo Clinic on Sunday, February 18th in conjunction with the 93rd Annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo.

We're 5 years old and we’re making it bigger and better! To date, we’ve raised nearly $20,000 for LOCAL breast cancer support, providing treatments, much needed supplies and support through the Arizona Oncology Foundation, to those patients and loved ones in Southern Arizona suffering from this awful disease.

Chicks n Chaps™ is for EVERYONE! So gals and guys, cowgirls, cowboys, and city folk alike, come join us as we look behind the chutes at the sport of rodeo and support a great cause.

7:00 a.m.Registration opens

8:00 a.m.  - You'll start your day with a delicious champagne breakfast from Creative Catering, presentations from professional rodeo Hall of Famer's, and educational speakers from our beneficiary and sponsors.

9:00 a.m. - Then you'll get an up close and personal look at the sport of rodeo. You'll learn about our animal athletes, and listen to the cowboys and cowgirls as they demonstrate their skills.  Don't worry you won't have to wrangle any steers or rope any bulls!

NEW THIS YEAR!!  Our friends at Boot Barn will be treating to you to a fashion show!  You'll see the latest and greatest in western wear modeled by some of our own Chicks N Chaps survirvors!!

11:30 a.m. - Time for a little shopping in the Tucson Rodeo's western marketplace, or grab a bite to eat before you head back to the beautiful Vaquero Club to take in the 93rd Annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros starting with RAM Mutton Bustin and the Justin Junior Rodeo at 12:30pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Lunch is NOT included in your event registration.  There is a food court on the grounds for your dining pleasure. You may purchase food there and bring it back to the Vaquero Club to eat.  OR you may also purchase the gourmet lunch served in the Vaquero Club below.  We will post the menu as soon as it is available.

2:00 p.m. - The professionals take over the arena competing for more than $460,000 in prize money. The Tucson Rodeo, the first major outdoor event on the PRCA schedule, gives visitors an opportunity to see real-life cowboys and cowgirls display their ability in the only sport in the world developed from work skills.

Don't miss the silent auction being held in the Vaquero Club, too!  All the proceeds will benefit the Arizona Oncology Foundation. Credit cards accepted:)

4:00 p.m. - The last bull bucks and the Coors Barn Dance begins!  Come kick up your heels to some of Tucson's best country western dance bands.
